US-CHINA MUSIC FORUM: MUSIC IN MOTION

  • Ertugun Atrium Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall New York, NY United States (map)

Music in Motion is the theme of the 3rd annual US-China Music Forum, a vibrant gathering on cross-cultural exchange presented by the US-China Music Institute in partnership with the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) and China Daily, and held in conjunction with the China Now Music Festival immediately following the China Now orchestra concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The Bard East/West Ensemble’s recent musical tour to China, as described by conductor and festival artistic director Jindong Cai, will shape the discussion. Members of the ensemble will share their firsthand experiences of music in motion across borders.
